African Adventures Ahead
George says: I will be travelling to the Gambia, West Africa during the last 2 weeks of May as part of a ministry of spiritual encouragement to missionaries. From past experience we know how discouraging it can be for Christian missionaries to live and work in a Muslim-majority nation. Pray for the Gambia missionaries as they meet for spiritual refreshing, and for another missionary and myself as we seek to be a blessing to that team.
Our youngest daughter Angelie (age 19) continues to set her sights on career missionary service to Africa one day. She plans to leave for 5 months of training and ministry in Swaziland after her sister Alisa's wedding on July 12th. Please click here and your message of encouragement will be passed on to her. After her service time ends in December, she hopes to come and stay with us in our new home for a little while before heading back to Canada. Speaking of which...
Departure Date: End of July
In light of the date of daughter Alisa's wedding and several other factors, we have decided to leave for our new mission field once-for-all AFTER the wedding. There have been many extra expenses already related to the move, including a whopping $435 each for us to apply for visas! Needless to say, the budget has become a little tight right now. Once we arrive and start to set up a home, appliances and household furnishings will also rack up a hefty bill. Our support account with the mission does not have enough to cover any of these extra expenses, so your one-time donation to help out now will be very much appreciated. You can send your gift by mail to ABWE directly. You can also give to our ABWE account via the internet safely and conveniently, as a growing number of our supporters have found.
Canadian donors can click here and follow the directions.
American donors please click here and do the same. It's safe and simple. Your financial help at this time will be much appreciated.
We are grateful to God for your prayers and support,
Yours,
George and Karen
