Muslim Woman Finds Christ

"I am just so grateful to God for letting me complete these lessons and allowing me to know Isa the Messiah. From this point on I vow to be one of his disciples. May God help me on this journey and use me to bring other people who do not believe to the same path, so that we may all be saved in the name of Isa God's chosen Messiah. Amen."
The above declaration of faith comes from an email by a 31-year-old Muslim woman named "Mary" who had just completed the second course on our Bible correspondence school website. "Isa" of course, is the Muslim way of saying "Jesus". Since then, one of our part-time female helpers has been discipling "Mary" in her new spiritual life.

Activities of the 5 A's
Our five children are now all officially adults and lead full independent lives. A few months ago, 4 of them still lived at home, now only one does.
Adam and wife Autumn are occupied with 3-month-old daughter Ebony. They live only blocks from us and so Karen offers her services as a babysitter every chance she gets. Amy is enjoying newlywed life with her hubby David. Alisa lives at home and commutes to university classes in Hamilton. Aaron and Angelie are both first-year college students living away from home. Pray for them in their new lives with the challenges each one faces.

Preparing for the Move
  • We are trusting God that the special fundraising thrust we are currently engaged in will bear fruit in the coming months. More exciting details will follow in the next update.
  • Keep praying about our support shortfall -- we have received some new support and it helps, bringing the monthly shortfall down to a little over $1,700.
  • At home, we are doing a lot of painting and minor repairs to get our house ready for sale, with the help of good friends here.

The Fast of Ramadan
We are currently in the month on the Islamic calendar known as Ramadan, during which Muslims are required to fast during daylight hours for 30 days. Many Christians around the world use this time to pray for Muslims in a special way. To join in the mighty throng of prayer warriors click here. For a look at the practice of fasting from a Muslim point of view and a Biblical point of view, click here.

Thank you for your gifts and your prayers,

George and Karen
