New Year, New Opportunities
As God's children through faith in Christ, it is great to be able to face the coming year with anticipation, even excitement! Sins and mistakes of the past are washed away in the blood of Jesus, and so we freely enjoy getting to know God in His Word and in the ups and downs of daily life. He still loves us, and so we love him, worship him, and serve him as best we can. What could be better?
2003 in Review
This past year brought the Kings a new website ministry, an unusual injury, and an amazing, timely teaching opportunity, among many other things. If you would like to see a report of the Kings' ministry for 2003, click here.
Praying in 2004
1. Pray as George takes his first crack at formatting Arabic webpages for one of their websites for Muslims.
2. Pray as George works on and adds to their online Bible browser/search utility designed especially for Muslim readers. Explanatory study notes and book introductions are a high priority.
3. Pray for Adam at York University. He just got a part-time job to help with his living expenses.
4. Pray for one of the couples in Karen's easy-English Bible class who recently moved to Toronto. Howard and Rachel are young Chinese Christians needing to get settled into a good church home. Kings gave them a contact and will be following up on them.
5. ABWE Togo is considering a new outreach in a potentially-hostile part of the country. George has been asked to advise them on this new undertaking and may travel to the field later this year in this regard.
6. George is working on an online Quran with search capabilities and study notes from a Christian perspective to complement the online Bible already up and running. Pray for wisdom and clear thinking for George. This is a potentially valuable tool for both Christians and Muslim inquirers.
7. Karen's leg is doing better. Resumption of physiotherapy will probably be unnecessary.
8. Amy is enjoying her second semester at Heritage College. She is working part-time to help with living expenses.
9. Lisa, Aaron, and Angie are back at high school. Lisa turns 18 this month and graduates from high school in the spring. Aaron is doing well in grade 11 and starts a military co-op program in the new semester at school. Angie is in grade 9 and still having some difficulty adjusting to the new school. In several ways it is a tough time in her life, and we would appreciate your prayers for her.
We thank God for you,
George for all
