Fast and Pray
Starting on October 26, 2003 until about November 24, Muslims around the world will fast from food and drink during daylight hours. This is the Fast of Ramadan, one of the 5 pillars of Islam to be observed by all Muslims. The fast ends each day at dusk, when Muslims are free to eat and drink to their hearts content throughout the evening hours. The fast begins again at dawn the following morning, and so the cycle is repeated for the 30 days of the fast.
Many Christians concerned for the spiritual welfare of Muslims use this month of Ramadan to pray intensely for Muslims using a 30-day prayer guide designed for that purpose. To look at the online edition of this helpful resource, click here.

Ministry Developments
Our "Al-Kitab Scripture Research Institute" website is an online Bible Correspondence School for Muslims. Our Bible study courses have pertinent Bible verses included in the text but until now, members had to go to other sites just to read the Bible by itself. Now after 4 years of preparation, we have launched our website's own Bible translation, geared especially for Muslim readers. In addition to simple chapter-by-chapter reading, you can do wordsearches of various kinds. It is a work in progress and will be for some time to come.
Al-Kitab welcomed 5 new members during the last 7 days. In recent weeks new students have come from Indonesia, Egypt, Pakistan, Malaysia, Philippines, Germany, and the USA.
Our second ministry website (isaalmasih.net) is a smaller site than Al-Kitab, but is available in six different languages so far (English, Spanish, Arabic, Portuguese, Indonesian, and Turkish). Many new contacts are made through emails and instant messages by people around the world who visit the site.
Adventures in English Teaching
Karen's new English teaching ministry is going well. The most satisfying part of it for Karen is her adult Sunday School class for English learners. The six regular students (3 couples) are keen on learning the message of the Bible and improving their English skills. We invited them all for turkey dinner on Thanksgiving Sunday (Canada), which was enhanced by delicious home-made Chinese entrees. We were surprised and saddened to hear one of the couples mention that in the over 4 years they have been here in North America, this was the first time they had been invited for a meal in the home of a "Canadian" family.
By the way, Karen's injured leg is mostly better but not quite normal. At times it is a little stiff and painful. We are considering the possibility of restarting physical therapy. Other New Website Additions
Now you can make secure instant donations to the Kings' ministry using your credit card. Click here.
This kind of giving isn't everyone's cup of tea, but an increasing number of people enjoy the convenience of doing their finances electronically. The website also gives details on how to make donations in more traditional ways. Also, details concerning our support requirements and support level are now available on the website. We thank God for you,
George for all
